Friends That Matter: Five Equpping Sessions for Youth Ministries.

These training tools can be used for equipping retreats or Youth Group Gatherings as Five 60-90 minute sessions for disciplemaking (or you can divide them into 10 two part sessions at 45 minutes each). These outlines and experiences are designed as fishing tools to expose your entire group to the values and life as Jesus has invited us to enjoy. We pray that these sessions will help you to draw students who "pop" with interest for Disciplemaking Friendships.

OVERVIEW / INTRODUCTORY SESSION: 

• Friends That Matter: Disciplemaking Friendships- What are the core ingredients for God-powered friendships? What does effective friendship look like? Jesus invites YOU to be a Disciplemaking friend. We'll get you started with core indicators for friendships that matter, plus a practical tool to jumpstart ways to follow Jesus, together. 

Four Kavanah Equipping Sessions-Word, Prayer, Love, Life as Worship:

• Friends That Matter: In the Word, Together. How do we read the Bible to get to know who God better? How can you help your friends open the Bible to discover God together? What are patterns we learn from Jesus that'll help you discover your spiritual identity? We'll get you started with a practical tool to jumpstart your being in God's Word, together.  

• Friends That Matter: Praying Like Jesus, Together. What did the prayer life of Jesus and his friends look like? What can your prayer life with friends look like? What does it look like in real-life to become a friend who prays for and with others? We'll get you started with a practical tool to jumpstart your prayerfulness. 

• Friends That Matter: Loved & Loving Extravagantly. What does it look like in real life to follow Jesus together? The Bible paints a clear and compelling picture of life together as we are loved to love others. Come and explore what it means to be loved and loving together! Bring your Bible, pen, notebook, and, of course, a friend. We’ll get you started with a practical tool to jumpstart your loving like Jesus.

• Friends That Matter: Life as Worship, The C3:23 Life. What does a life of worship in "whatever" we do look like for me and my friends? The Bible paints a clear and compelling picture of life together following Jesus. Come and explore the C3:23 life together! Bring your Bible, pen, notebook, and, of course, a friend. We’ll get you started with a practical tool to jumpstart your loving like Jesus.

This five session training pack includes:

Keynote (Mac), Powerpoint (PC) and PDF Training Slides.

Printable (PDF) Equipping Handouts. Handouts print as either 4 individual pages per session or as four page legal or tabloid foldable booklets that are trimable to a fun square format.

Additional experience and equipping tool descriptions to help you make the training/teaching experiential, fresh and memorable.
